We gave a beautiful grocer something money can't buy: character
PROJECT
Brand Strategy + Identity, Brand Experience + Activation
CLIENT
Tetra Fresh Grocer
Tetra already had the ingredients.
A beautifully designed store. Exceptional produce. Busy aisles. But despite the quality on the shelves, the brand itself was almost invisible. There was little story, no personality, and nothing connecting the physical experience to the people behind it.
The challenge wasn’t to redesign the store. It was to give customers a reason to remember it.
We gave the grocer a character.
Meet Tetra. Not a founder or mascot, but the spirit of the well-travelled aunty who always knows what’s good. The one who quietly notices the best fruit, trusts the right growers, and sends you home with something better than you came in for.
From there, everything changed. We created Take her pick as the brand’s organising idea, then built a system around it. Handwritten notes tucked between the produce. Seasonal campaigns. Packaging. Website. Social. In-store storytelling. Every touchpoint became another conversation with Tetra herself.
The result wasn’t branding layered on top of the experience. It became the experience.
Customers no longer just discovered beautiful produce. They discovered a brand with opinions, warmth and a reason to come back every week. Seasonal storytelling created ongoing reasons to visit, while a distinctive voice turned everyday grocery shopping into something far more memorable.
There's a market. Starts before the city wakes. Pick it up. Smell it. Feel the weight of it. Put it back. Not yet. You learn it hands-on – the difference between grown well and grown fast. Between worth it and not quite. What you find here didn't arrive by accident. It was noticed. Carried back with a reason. Only what deserves to be here, is. Take her pick.
